Swedish Modern floor lamp by Mjölby Intarsia, Sweden, circa 1930s. An exceptional example showcasing the intricate wood inlay craftsmanship that made Mjölby Intarsia one of Sweden's most distinguished interwar furniture makers. The adjustable height mechanism allows for versatile positioning. The dark-stained wood stem and base provide structural support while keeping focus on the decorative intarsia work The intarsia panel shows excellent preservation with vivid color contrast in the wood veneers. Wood elements display age-appropriate patina. Adjustment mechanism functions smoothly. There is some loss of veneer and there are small tears in the lampshade, please see photos. The lamp can be raised and lowered. The highest is 164cm and the lowest is 140. All measurements are taken with the lampshade.
