Brass floor lamp manufactured by asea, sweden, in the 1940s. This elegant lamp features a slender brass stem and a wide, pleated shade made of off-white silk fabric, adding a soft diffusion to the light. The height is adjustable between 140-200 cm (55-79 inches), and the arm can be moved both in height and sideways, providing versatility in lighting direction. The brass base is weighted for stability, showing a light patina that adds to its character. The switch is conveniently placed on the underside of the brass light holder, enhancing the lamp’s streamlined and functional design. A timeless piece that captures the essence of swedish modernism. Condition: very good condition with new custom-made shade. Wiring: all our lamps are wired for eu standards. Unfortunately, we have neither the means nor the qualifications to wire them for us standards. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
