Vintage Brass Cattail Floor Lamp Attributed To Daniel Dhaeseleer, 1970s

Chairish

$2,289

Vintage floor lamp, initially a sculpture, designed by Belgian artist Daniel D'haeseleer. He is famous for his works with brass and copper, tree sculptures, wall sculptures,\. a bit like Curtis Jere. This sculptural cattail and reed floor lamp was initially a sculpture that has been converted into a floor lamp with a subtle light by us. The cattail tips are made out of copper, one of them is signed by the artist. He lived and sold most of his sculptures in a shop at Belgium's coast, and the base of the floor lamp is made out of cemented seashells referring to his location. Most of his suclptures were much smaller, so its rare to find such a large piece. Fantastic, decorative piece. 1970s - Belgium. Very good condition, tested and ready to use. Dimensions: Height: 230cm Width: 100cm Depth: 65cm This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution, Up to 250V (Europe/UK Standard). The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
