Optional timer capability automatically turns off the light after a chosen duration of 4 or 8 hours. Returns to the last dim level setting when switched on. A button at the top of the tube acts as a switch and dimmer. There is a timer function for automatic switch off that can be set to 4 hours or 8 hours.
