A set of four (4) exquisite high-relief Victorian motif ceramic tiles made by Trent Tile in Trent, New Jersey in the late 1880s. Each border tile has a lovely tobacco-colored glaze that highlights the three-dimensional design. There is crazing on the high-gloss glaze and minor chipping and wear on the tiles, as noted in the photos. Each tile is embossed on the back with the maker's mark, "TRENT". The Trent Tile Company produced tiles in their Trent, New Jersey factory from 1882 to the early 1900s. Each tile is 6" L, 3" W, and 0.5" H.
