Talk about "original," this baby has it all! The shades are 99% immaculate, with just a few very minor spots on one shade, essentially invisible (see the next to last photo); no chips shown or hidden. The color on the five shades is consistent from one to the next, no swaps or replacements here. The color (unlit) is accurate in the photos, a light green with some yellow; lit, the shades appear to be a light amber, or thereabouts. Of course most of the light which illuminates your room will be essentially colorless, if you have a white ceiling. The metal, cast iron, has its original patina, a lovely copper plating that has its antique finish -- right out of the box. The wiring has been replaced from the center cluster to the ceiling, and all the five sockets work perfectly. Heavy duty wiring was used (not that it was necessary) and you can use any size wattage you like. You could, for instance, put five one hundred watt bulbs in this fixture. The five sockets have their original wiring which is in excellent condition. Look no further for a simply stated, elegantly designed, easily installed flush mounted light which will provide all the light you could possibly use!
