For creator Angelo Mangiarotti, each piece is an expression of the craftsmen and the materials they harness. The flushmount sees glass pushed to its limits into a sculptural form. Artisans handshape Murano glass into gestural hooks that combine to give this flushmount a fabric-like texture. These hand-arranged hooks taper down into a pointed silhouette filled with curvy accents. The light passes through the crevices of the glass and reaches one’s eyes as a radiant, lively aura.
