The Lunaire LED Wall / Flushmount from FontanaArte is organised around two concentric discs. A large concave aluminium diffuser sits at the back, while a smaller front disc holds the light source. Ferreol Babin drew the concept from the visual phenomenon of an eclipse, and the optical effect shifts depending on how the front disc is positioned. Pushing it toward the wall produces a backlighting effect, while pulling it forward directs light out from within the diffuser. A rod on the face of the inner disc allows the position to be changed without any tools.
