Mid-Century Modern Kalmar Flush Mount Light 'Catena', Chrome Murano Glass, 1970s

A fantastic Mid-Century modern light fixture model 'Catena' by J.T. Kalmar, Austria, manufatured in 1970s.It consists of a polished chrome plate with 18 organic and ribbon-shaped Murano glass pieces. 12 are made of clear crystal glass and 6 white foam bubble glass.A glass piece has the dimensions of ca. 8 x 6 inch (20 x 15 cm).The light has great volume and in reality it looks much bigger than you would expect it from the dimensions.The light is ready to use. It has 13 sockets for small Edison screw base bulbs type E14 up to max. 40 W per bulb. It is possible to install this fixture in all countries (US, UK, Europe, Asia, Canada,) although it may be necessary to purchase different light bulbs (e.g. LED or filament) suitable to local electricity.Two lights are available.
