Pair of designed by Toni Zuccheri for Venini is this Esprit ceiling mount light. Venini describes the model “Esprit” as an explosion of flowers and stars in hand blown, handcrafted glass. Designed to illuminate, shine, sparkle and excite, “Esprit” is ideal for all type of interior. It is comprised of handblown small star like blown glass pieces and handblown long trumpet or lilly shape flowers. The Esprit collection was produced by Venini during the 1970s and offered an exciting blend of creativity and glass-making prowess combined with a meticulous and sensitive investigation of lighting technology. It was published in Domus Magazine no. 436, March 1966, n.p. for an advertisement and in Franco Deboni's book Venini Glass: Its history, artists and techniques, Vol. 1, Turin, 2007, p. 245. The design was made in all clear glass or clear with a golden amber color as seen here.
