Square bubble glass flush mounts by helena tynell for glashütte limburg, manufactured in germany in 1960. The bubble glass gives a wonderful glow. The square glass is mounted on a brass colored metal back plate. Can be used as flush mounts or wall lights. Cleaned, well-wired and ready to use the fixture requires one single e27 bulb, maximum 40 watts. She was a student at the school of the arts in helsinki, circa 1943-1946. She was one of the most influential designers in the finish glass company riihimäki lasi. Her work has been exhibited from 1954-1960, m (12 editions) at the triennale in milan, zurich, amsterdam and london. She has worked as a freelance designer for flygsfors glassworks, bega leuchten, glashütte limburg and fostoria glass. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
