Folding dining table, "slagbord" type, produced in the 1950s by Skaraborgs Möbelindustri, a historic manufacturer in Tibro, Sweden, a center known for the quality craftsmanship of its woodwork. The original manufacturer's label is present inside. "Slagbord" tables originated in Scandinavian tradition as home work tables: versatile surfaces that could be folded to free up space in rural homes. In the 20th century, this type of table was reinterpreted in a modernist style, maintaining functionality and formal simplicity. The tabletop can be opened completely or on one side; each leaf measures 62 cm, and when fully extended, the table reaches 168 cm in length.
