Petite Louis XV carved wood footstool or low tabouret with cabriolet legs and floral carvings. Newly upholstered in a stylized woven chevron in beige and gold on a celadon grey green ground with beige linen welting. In original 18th century finish with signs of and loss of gilt and painted surfaces, the gesso showing through. Structurally very sound. One floral carving with minor losses (see close ups). Measures 32 inches wide x 12 inches deep and stands 10 inches high.
