Carl Hansen & Søn's BM5565 deck chair is a design by Danish master Børge Mogensen, who originally created the wooden lounger for his own balcony in the 1960s. Crafted from certified teak, the sunbed's clean lines and natural expression make it a perfect match for terraces and gardens alike. The slatted structure adapts to the shape of the body for enhanced comfort, complemented by a generously sized cushion made from water- and dirt-repellent Sunbrella acrylic – partially made from recycled materials and designed for outdoor use. Equipped with a practical footrest, the BM5565 deck chair features a reclining backrest and a lightweight, foldable frame that's easy to move or store. Untreated teak is naturally weather-resistant and develops a beautiful patina over time, helping the chair blend seamlessly into its surroundings. To preserve the wood's warm tone, the surface can be treated regularly with oil.
