Water Fountain in Stoneware of Three Monkeys. A Lively and animated trio of apes in a group studying the situation. A tight group of three monkeys, in a very excited state, clutched together, staring forward. Central Monkey is built as a fountain head. Dark brown stoneware construction with very thick walls, reinforced in the interior by two stoneware braces, now one removed for plumbing space, and the other has fissures from firing. Maker's mark impressed on the bottom surface. Natural dark clay with a gritty stone body forms the walls and interior reinforcements to make this sculpture suitable for outside and patio installations. Stoneware surface like this is a very good grounding surface to host mosses and fern growth. Size 15" tall, base is 21" wide by 14" deep. The weight is approx. 35 lbs. Vintage 80s
