Spring Color Alert! This set of 2 unused yellow and white fine linen hand towels are decorated with exquisite hand embroidery from Madeira, Portugal. Spring and summer flowers in pink, blue, yellow, white with soft green stems are set off by shadow applique along the bottom edge which is a hallmark of many Madeira linens. Madeira, Portugal is known for its fine hand embroidery that was highly-sought after in the 20th century. The linen used by Madeira embroiderers was almost always from Ireland which makes these luxury linens even more special. These two linen hand towels retain their original tags and will be included in the sale. They come in protective plastic covers. See images.
