A dramatic and impressive Venetian Blown "Graniglia" Ice Glass ribbed Saucer shaped form hanging ceiling lamp designed and manufactured by Murano Italy circa 1950's. The thick & hefty (5 lbs.) liquid-like exterior ribbed texture hanging glass saucer has a pebble-like inner frosted texture, that has a faint sparkly gold tint overall with a slightly darker outer ring halo, created by fusing fine shards of glass into the blown slag body for the sparkling effect. This was a unique use of the new art glass technique details found only in the highest end lighting fixtures of the period. Suspended by an equally brilliant solid clear molded glass plinth form which supports its' 4-way bulb fixture hardware for maximum illumination.
