1970s American Crouse Hinds / Pauluhn Cast Aluminium Flameproof Tube Light

This is a 4ft flame proof strip light manufactured by Crouse Hinds / Pauluhn, Texas, USA.These rare examples were made in the 1970s for use in hazardous areas on super tankers and cargo ships travelling cargo around the globe.The design and construction is second to none, over engineered to with stand the harshest of conditions.The build quality is as expected for a fixture of this specification, mainly built from cast aluminium with borosilicate glass tubes. These lights have been stripped of original paint and polished to a high lustre creating and great piece of sculpted lighting.The hanging brackets clamp onto the tubular section which allows the light to be hung at an angle or wall-mounted and tilted up or down if required.The original fluorescent tube lights have been replaced with LED's along with the wiring which has been updated to conform to British standards or UL for the USA, the highly polished shade reflect the light downwards for efficient illumination of the area below.Dimensions:Width 310 mmLength 1400 mmHeight 250 mmWeight 10 kg2 x 16 W Warm white 3000kelvin LED T8 tubes 100v-220v (dimmable option available on request).All lights are professionally re-wired in-house to exceed British Standards using CE approved components.
