This nice Heywood Wakefield M 540 double or full-size bookcase headboard can be used with a queen-size mattress which will be about 2" larger on each side. There is a 20" clearance from the floor to the first cross board and 31" from the floor to the bottom of the bookcase shelf section. The interior measurements of the two end compartments are 15 1/2" X 8" and the central section is 21" X 8". The two faux tambour (ribbed) doors slide in a groove. There are remnants of the Heywood Wakefield tag on the back.
