Midcentury shell-encrusted jewelry box, circa 1950s–60s. Handmade from wood and covered in natural shells, with a vibrant red felt interior and a working wind-up music box, that plays "Auf Wiedersehen" (goodbye, until we see each other again) as noted on the underside. These musical souvenir boxes were popular in coastal European towns, often gifted as keepsakes. Light wear, lovely patina to shells and surface.
