Ooya Seisakusho's Grater Hagoita is a Japanese kitchen tool shaped after the traditional hagoita paddle. The paddle is used in hanetsuki, a game identical to badminton in every way except one: it is played without the net. We'd recommend keeping this particular paddle in the kitchen, though. The handcrafted grater excels with smaller ingredients like wasabi, ginger, garlic, or radish, grated to a fine, even result.
