Sunami Toru Shoten's trivet is made from Japanese rush grass – the same material that is used to weave traditional tatami mats. The hand-woven surface holds pots and pans firmly in place while protecting whatever it rests on. Please note that the trivet's original color will gradually deepen towards a warm brown with use. In other words, it only becomes more yours with time.
