1960s teak and chrome convertible multipurpose serving/bar cart. This mid century modern marvel functions as a 2-tier serving cart. Then, with a simple quick motion becomes a compact yet sturdy desk/work surface/ dining/breakfast table when needed. Built with all high quality materials and with precise construction, including chromed steel components and beautiful exposed teak joinery. All the while exemplifying its authentic 1960s chrome and teak vibe. Ingenious mechanical design: Simply pull out the brass knob, lift up the lower teak table top (spring assisted) then it swings up to meet the other teak top which has moved into position simultaneously. Slide the brass knob back in and the teak tops automatically lock into place. Unknown maker, but we believe it was made in the USA. In excellent original condition. The chrome retains nearly all of its original shine and the teak hardly shows any wear. The convertible mechanism works flawlessly and the casters all roll smoothly.
