$1,547

Rolo pb01 serving trolley designed by cees braakman for pastoe in 1950. A light and functional design in bent birch wood, characteristic of braakman’s early post-war work and the emergence of dutch modernism. After the second world war, cees braakman travelled to the united states on behalf of pastoe, where he was influenced by the work of charles and ray eames. Upon returning to the netherlands, he introduced furniture made using bent wood techniques, of which this trolley is an early example. The design is executed in laminated birch wood and plywood, combined with bakelite swivel wheels. dimensions: 80 × 45 × 68.5 cm / 31.5 × 17.7 × 27 in (w×d×h). Source: pastoe 100 years, p. 204 and pastoe furniture catalogue, 1952 (see photo). The condition of this serving trolley is good. There are normal signs of use consistent with its age and original purpose, without detracting from the design or overall appearance. i have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
