In the early 1930s, the Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto (1898-1976) designed the practical tea trolley, which, thanks to its large wheels, can be easily maneuvered anywhere. Our example is a very rare version, manufactured by the Swiss company Aermo in the 1960s. The frame is made of molded birch plywood, the surfaces of engineered wood panels with a beautiful birch veneer, and the edges are beech. The basket is made of woven willow. The tea trolley is in excellent condition. A professional restorer has re-glued all the wooden parts and refinished the surfaces. The rubber tires of the wheels have been cleaned and the axle lubricated. Visually and functionally, the trolley appears almost new. The manufacturer's mark is present on the underside.
