Antique Farmhouse Baking Table

Chairish

$1,450

Recently appraised for $2,450, this is a late 19th, early 20th-century American farmhouse baking table, featuring two signature "possum belly" galvanized drawers once used to store flour and sugar. There are also two pull-out cutting boards. Made of solid pine or oak with classic turned legs, this piece combines rustic charm with practical function. The condition of the table highlights the natural grain while preserving vintage character. The two upper drawers are perfect for flatware or utensils, while the unique curved drawers below remain a nod to the table’s utilitarian past and are perfect for storing kitchen linens. A rare and charming survivor from the early 1900s—equally at home in a country kitchen or a modern rustic interior. These were popular between 1900 and 1930, especially in rural Midwestern and Southern kitchens. The table could make a great workspace table in the kitchen or use as a console or entry table. Dimensions are 48" across, 27" deep, 63" high in the back, and 32" table height.
