Early 20th Century Industrial Butcher Block Prep Station With Pipe Frame And Overhead Rail

Chairish

$5,000

Compact industrial prep station built around a thick, solid butcher block top mounted to a pipe-form steel frame. The surface shows heavy use, with darkened areas, knife marks, and embedded wear consistent with food preparation or shop utility. A single metal drawer is integrated beneath the top, featuring a simple curved pull and deep basin interior for tools, utensils, or prep storage. Below, a slatted wooden shelf offers additional space, framed by rounded pipe joints and flared feet that give the piece a grounded, machine-age stance. An overhead steel rail spans the width of the station, supported by two vertical posts rising from the rear of the work surface. This functional element was likely used for hanging utensils, towels, or tools, reinforcing the piece's workstation-driven design. Work surface height: 32.75" H Drawer: 19.75" W x 22" D x 5" H Butcher block thickness: 3"
