This functional antique has a thick top assembled from many end grain blocks (including some more recent "honest repairs" to fill in cracks) all held together with steel bindings on the corners. On the top surface you’ll find a lined knife slot, also steel. Thick, block legs are joined by a stretcher for additional support. Note the top surface has been cleaned and coated with a food safe oil to preserve the finish and is ready to be used in your kitchen.
