A fabulous Art Deco industrial Smartline kitchen table (work table - writing desk - oversized console) designed by Raymond Patten (American, 1897-1948), retailed by International Nickel Company. Patented design in 1933. circa 1933-1940; United States Streamline Moderne Machine Age industrial minimalist styling, having a monel top folded around rectangular shaped wooden frame, mounted on a black enameled sheet metal body, having a single frieze drawer, rising on matte chrome-plated steel legs. Designed to easily separate from the legs for simple transport and compact storage when not in use.
