The Veark BK22 is a long-bladed, high-quality bread knife that effortlessly slices through everything from crusty baguettes to freshly baked rolls. Its serrated edge features subtly rounded, 0.24 in (6 mm) teeth that allow the blade to glide smoothly through bread without tearing. Especially suited for cutting large, crusty sourdough loaves, the BK22 was developed in collaboration with Danish chef Jesper Gøtz, known for his passion for sourdough. The rounded tip and the added support for the balancing finger are clever details inspired by Gøtz’s daily experience in the bakery. Made in Germany, the BK22 bread knife is finished with a handle crafted from untreated beech wood, which will develop a beautiful patina over time. A bright blue plastic rivet adds a distinctive finishing touch.
