Produced in Sevres, France. Circa 1930's. Prewar electrical, heavy metal post with functional switch. Lava vermiculated glaze ceramic is in fantastic condition with Milet signature black dome top and bottom. Custom welded circular iron gate w/angled, black stained, wood riser base provides both height and focus on the ceramic. Hyper rare artist from a luxury art deco lamp manufacturer. Pre dates West German fat lava movement and organic forms and glazes from Axel Salto. Ceramic is in beautiful condition - no chips or cracks to report. Wood and iron show wear commensurate with age. Switch and electrical tested and functional. Partial label present on lamp hardware. Original felt bottom. Paul Milet exhibited in various salons throughout his career.
