Up for sale is a rare antique early 19th century aquamanile lion figural oil lamp. This lovely temple lion lamp is made of solid gold gilded bronze, is very heavy, and has acquired a nice patina from age. It features a very elaborate hand engraved design throughout along with a dimensional lion head badge on the front of the chest. Oil pours into the top of the head opening and a wick would be put In the mouth. It is in great condition and measures 6 1/2 inches long by 6 1/2 inches tall.
