Organic, sculptural, and rare, this lamp is the Hebi model in its large 150 cm version, designed by Japanese designer Isao Hosoe for the Italian company Valenti in the 1970s, and is one of the most sought-after pieces in Valenti's collection. Its long, flexible, ringed body in black PVC bends and can be positioned freely in any direction, culminating in an adjustable spherical head in glossy black lacquered metal. Without a fixed base, it can be placed, coiled, and displayed like a living sculpture. This large 1.50 m version offers far greater freedom of display than the standard version, allowing for expansive and spectacular compositions. Each position is different; each use becomes a new form.
