I believe this is a unique item from an artist or designer. All the parts are carefully made with attention to detail. The metal cylinder is of thick walled, bronze tubing. An electric socket is attached to a walnut plug that has been carefully finished. Two wooden elements under the bronze tube are full of geometric detail. An asymmetrical base in walnut is beautifully made in walnut. Due to the confined space in the tube an LED bulb would be ideal to protect the wire.
