These vintage brass and glass hurricane oil lamps are not seen very often any more. I found them in an antique store in Baker City, OR, while shopping there as we were traveling one day. This has to be one of my better finds I think. There is no fuel in them but they are workable. They have wicks in them that were used a long time ago and you can see the burnt ends on them. I cleaned the clear glass chimneys as they were really dirty from use. If I had thought, I should have taken a before and after shot. These laterns have a weighted brass pedestal base and the chimney glass is to protect the flame from drafts. The height of them are 11.75" and the width and depth are 4.5". They are sold as a pair.
