A large and heavy centerpiece is this stunning period brutalist copper hanging light, created in rustic france by the accolay commune of potters and sculptors in the 1960's. earthy, very organic and almost space age, this copper and cackle glass lantern has a real brutalist look, like a chandelier you might see hanging in the barbican or a modernist church. The copper edges are serrated, the panels of the glass textural and rugged. Turned on, its colors burn brightly like a furnace. a rare piece, the lantern hangs from a black metal chain. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
