In the 1940's, the Miramar hotel became a coastal landmark, as the weekend getaway for Los Angelinos looking to escape the city. With its cozy cottages and beachy clean appeal, the Miramar hotel had a simple style. Our Miramar Clara lantern brings an updated feel to a classic craftsman look and would find itself at home not only on the coast, but in a mountain or ranch setting as well. The Clara, or clear, version has the crossbars removed, giving the lantern a lighter, more open feel. Best suited for a setting that requires a more minimal look. Hand forged in heavy gauge iron.A classic form, with riveted, caged frame, graceful sloped hood, and footed base. Backplate dimensions (inches): 5" W x 9" H.Lantern shown in SBLC Grey Finish with SBLC Clear Glass. Hand-forged in heavy gauge wrought iron. All lanterns go through a metalizing process, a protective zinc layer added to ensure protection and durability against corrosion and harsh weather conditions.All lights are handmade and made to order.
