A very rare and beautiful vintage Victorian style hanging lantern made of brass and panels of stained glass in blue, pink, orange and yellow. Striking ornamental details seen throughout this Moroccan-inspired piece. A locking window made of 4 panels at the bottom of the lantern allows one to reach in to place candles, votives or tea lights and if the new owner is up to the challenge this lantern can be modified to become electric with a little bit of extra work. There is a hook attached to the top of the finial for hanging but this lantern can also be displaced on top of any surface (credenza, table, shelf, dresser, etc.). No mark found. Probably made some time in the 1960s or 70s. A very hard to find unique piece!
