This burgundy, black and gray seating set is a limited re-creation of a Streamline Moderne collection designed by the iconic American industrial designer Donald Deskey. The 1981 set is a classic example of "Streamline Moderne," a late 1930s evolution of Art Deco that emphasized horizontal lines, curving forms, and industrial materials like chrome. Originally designed around 1934 by Deskey, Key Materials include Chrome-plated metal bands, red or burgundy leatherette (Naugahyde), and with black and grey accents. Signature Elements include; Circular or semi-circular aluminum/chrome armrests and triple-bar detailing on the bases. Almost an automobile grill look of the period. The Set includes; The 3 seat sofa, 73.5” wide x 36” deep x 29.5” high. (2) Club chairs with ottomans, chair dimensions are; 31.25” wide x 36” deep x 29.5” high. Ottoman dimensions are; 25” wide x 20” deep x 15” high. Finally to complete the set there is the oversized bench / daybed! Love the chrome base! Dimensions of the bench are; 77” wide x 26” deep x 24.5” high. (Seat height on the bench is 21.5”). This is an incredibly well made quality set. No manufacturer label present.
