Beautiful set of John Jelliff parlor chairs. These 19th C Victorian chairs are a set, interestingly enough the gentleman’s chair has the arms as the ladies chair needed room for her dress, why there was no arms. Both chairs are still usable today show the master craftsmanship of the maker. The style is that of John Jelliff, there are no tags but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t or that they aren’t authentic, not all chairs had tags. The ladies chair was restored, as seen in photos and could have very well had an original tag. The gentleman’s chair hasn’t been restored, bottom spring coming through, as seen in photos. A beautiful piece of Victorian History. Chairs were owned by one family, non smoking, no pets. Gentleman’s Chair: 41” H x 29” W x 17” D Ladies Chair: 39” H x 21” W x 16.5” D
