He was awarded the gold medal in paris in 1900 and is considered a pioneer of the best chair designs in the history of the secession. Architects/designers such as otto wagner, koloman moser, josef hoffmann and marcel kammerer took the perfectly designed design language of the art furniture as a “template” for their own designs.
