I have for sale, a French 19th century Louis XVI style (three-piece) parlor suite in floral upholstery, including a settee and two armchairs. This stunning Louis XVI style salon set, including a settee and two arm chairs, is Circa Early 20th Century, if not the late 1800’s. The finely carved walnut frames with the armrests ending in foliate carvings is exquisite. The back frames are topped by quiver and torch carvings; elegant French Louis XVI decorative elements. Other noted elements include the foliate finials, the rectangular padded back flanked to the sides by fluted columns, the padded armrests, and the beautifully carved, fluted legs. The upolstry is finely woven in a delicate floral design, on is on the seat back, seat, and armrests. This set is so lovely and in wonderful condition, especially for the age. It was in our living room and as perhaps many of you can remember, we were not allowed to sit on it, let alone be in the living room!! Lucky, we had a family room!
