Set of 4 armchairs, sofa and table was crafted during the second half of the 19th century during the Rococo Revival, a movement where the traditions of the Rococo period and inspirations of Louis XV furniture heavily influenced furnishings and decorative arts. It shows a carved surface that retains an old finish in the rich patinated walnut wood and French polish. An X-form stretcher locks the four legs firmly in place. It is a fine accent piece that we acquired as part of a set of four chairs.
