Ball Chair By Eero Aarnio For Asko, 1970s

Chairish

$11,226

Designed by Eero Aarnio in the 1960s, the Ball, also known as the Globe Chair, is one of the most recognised design icons of the 20th century. It is still produced today by the German company Adelta. The seat is exceptionally cosy, and once seated, the spherical shape comfortably isolates you from the surrounding environment. This is an authentic original first edition, produced by Asko, Finland, during the 1970s. We have carefully preserved the original fabric to maintain the chair’s authenticity and character. Restoration details: Foam in the cushions replaced. Fabric deep cleaned. Outer shell machine polished. Swivel mechanism serviced. Origin: Finland, 1970s Materials: Fibreglass, steel, fabric Condition: Good condition. Signs of use on the shell, including some horizontal scratches, which we have tried to capture as accurately as possible in the photographs. These are not particularly visible in day to day use. Foam partially replaced. The chair has been deep cleaned and is ready for daily use. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
