Iconic white painted rattan lounge chair designed by acclaimed designers Janine Abraham & Dirk Jan Rol. believed to be manufactured in France by Edition Rougier, c 1950s. The chair does not have a manufacturer’s name or mark on it that we can see. This chair is emblematic of the mid-20th century modern design movement, a period known for its embrace of simple, clean lines and organic materials in furniture. Our family was fortunate to receive this chair recently as a gift from a client with discerning taste and appreciation for fine design. The client was in the process of relocating and were clearing out a climate-controlled storage unit where it had been carefully kept for a short period before finding its way to us.
