Chairish

$4,820

Rare hans wegner ap-71 lounge chair from 1968, produced by ap stolen in copenhagen. A striking statement piece, beautifully crafted with a solid oak frame and tensioned seat. Reupholstered in black bouclé, adding texture and contrast to the design. The chair was designed by hans wegner and released in 1968 by ap stolen in copenhagen, denmark. Both the backrest and headrest are adjustable in three positions, and the solid oak frame features refined hinge joints. The seat consists of tensioned rope (flag halyard line), a line also used on yachts, and the chair is foldable. The model is documented in noritsugu oda’s book hans j. Wegner’s 100 chairs, page 116. The dimensions are 62 × 93 × 96 cm (w×d×h) and the seat height is 40 cm. The condition of this lounge chair is good and sturdy, with normal signs of use and patina consistent with age. The chair has been reupholstered in black chivasso bouclé fabric. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
