Beautiful Bicia lounge chair designed by Carlo Bartoli for Arflex in 1969. A fine example of Italian design from the late 1960s, reflecting Bartoli’s experimental approach and use of innovative materials. A good example of Bartoli’s forward thinking design for Arflex, combining sculptural form with light industrial materials characteristic of the era. Originally, the ‘Bicia’ chair was made for a theater-cabaret in Florence and eventually placed in regular production by Arflex. This particular chair still has its original velvet upholstery in a stunning blue color in very nice condition. This stunning and comfortable design will elevate any space, and bring comfort and elegance. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
