Pair of Brutalist solid oak lounge chairs by Dittmann & Co for AWA I.C., Netherlands, c. 1970s. They feature a seat and back made of sculptural, curved, and rounded slats. The sloping design of the seat and back makes these low lounge chairs extremely comfortable, perfect for relaxing by the fire. They were originally finished with a dark varnish, so they have been completely sanded and oiled to bring out the wood's natural beauty. The craftsmanship is reminiscent of Guillerme and Chambron. They are very stable. Seat height: 40 cm. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
