Early production hans j. Wegner "ch28" lounge chair in patinated oak and dark green vintage upholstery. This example is from the early 1950s and has the most amazing patina and wood grain. The "ch28" saw buck chair, designed in 1951, includes many of the master’s characteristic design features. The chair, which was put into production the following year, is not only functional, but also very comfortable. It is the essence of excellent craftsmanship and comfort. Wegner’s predilection for creating the perfect balance between form and function is clear to see in its elegant design elements and carefully considered details. The armrests are carefully rounded and wegner has created an interesting dynamic between the slender, sweeping seat, the curved backrest and the rounded legs. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
