This is a “Sawbuck” chair design by Hans Wegner and hand built by the Carl Hansen and Son funiture manufacturers in Denmark. Frame consists of solid walnut wood in a modified X shape of the arms and legs. The seat and back are covered in an elegant black leather. An upgrade from the plain wood seat and back which was also offered at the time and referred to as the CH28 Easy Chair. A classic design that has withstood the test of time.
